What an incredibly fun, playful – yet super-elegant – baseball themed Bar Mitzvah this was!!  Justin and his family are huge Red Sox fans, and as a native Bostonian who was born into a family of staunch Red Sox fans, I had a blast planning this event!!

As guests entered the beautiful Blue Hill Country Club, they were greeted – and blown away! – by an unbelievably cool bronzed living baseball player statue!  Also featured at the entrance was a fabulous baseball-themed open cart snack bar, filled with baseball stadium snacks.

As the guests proceeded upstairs, they were wowed by the spectacular, miniature sized Green Monster and scoreboard place card display.  To help bolster the authenticity of the vignette, we included – and even lit – the famous Citgo sign that stands behind Fenway Park!  The place cards looked like actual Red Sox tickets, and they were propped in a beautiful bed of green grass.

The ballroom was transformed and fully decked-out with a gorgeous baseball-décor.  The round guest tables were covered with awesome spandex linens that looked like baseballs; the Tuscan and square tables were adorned with gorgeous navy linens with red banding around the perimeter.  There were several different centerpiece displays, all of which boasted various thematic baseball details. The gorgeous customized menu cards, glass Coke bottles, Cracker Jacks boxes, peanuts, baseballs, and custom table numbers all contributed to the classy, customized, thematic look.

The bar was a super-cool showpiece: the glo-façade was surrounded by trendy metal trussing, and hanging from the trussing were black-and-white photos of Justin playing baseball.  To add to the fun, thematic feel, the kids’ buffets were placed in custom-made Red Sox ‘concession stands’, and all of the wait staff wore customized t-shirts which featured Justin’s logo.  Just before the party concluded, guests were treated with several Fenway Park treats, including ice cream that was served in adorable mini Red Sox helmets.

The DJ kept the kids and the adults dancing and having a blast throughout the night.  Justin’s Bar Mitzvah was definitely one for the books… and I would venture to guess that even the staunchest Yankees fan would be transformed into a Sox fan after attending this incredibly fun and beautiful event!
