Danny and Abby’s guests, who had already been treated to an incredible Shabbat, complete with the finest delicacies for the Friday night dinner and Kiddush, interactive games for the younger guests and fabulous magic show for Danny’s and Abby’s friends, thought that they had already attended the ‘Bnei Mitzvah of the Year’ before the Saturday night celebration even began! Danny and Abby’s parents had a singular goal in mind for the party: they wanted to create a fabulous and classy party – which would be incredibly fun for both the kids and the adults alike. And their mission was unquestionably accomplished to perfection!
Upon entering the Boston Marriott, Newton, the kids were immediately whisked into the ballroom, where they partied with the awesome NY DJ and were entertained by a multitude of fun and unique novelty activities. The kids also enjoyed their own huge lounge space which was situated on the side of the ballroom and sectioned-off with elegant draping. The lounge included soft seating, glow cocktail tables and stools, kid-friendly food stations, foosball and air hockey tables. The rest of the ballroom was decorated with sleek, black and silver banded linens, stunning, modern centerpieces and chairs, a complete, impactful lighting design, mirrored accents, and an all-white dance floor.
This party had so many highlights – but perhaps the most exciting one for Danny and Abby – and their many hockey fan-guests – was when Rene Rancourt, the Boston Bruin’s famed singer, surprised them immediately following the first dance set: with a dramatic, gallant entrance onto the packed dance floor, he entertained the guests with a beautiful rendition of the American and Canadian national anthems (to appeal to Danny and Abby’s American dad and to their Canadian mom – and to their many bi-national guests!), followed by photos shoots and selfies with Rene and his Bruins’ Championship Ring!
